BusLine is an independent live bus tracking service for Great Britain, available at buslineuk.com and as an iPhone app. By using BusLine you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
BusLine is free for personal, non-commercial use. You don't need an account. You're responsible for using it safely, so please don't look at your phone while driving, cycling or crossing the road.
Bus positions, departure times, journey plans and disruption information come from bus operators and other sources, and can be late, incomplete or wrong. Buses can also be cancelled or diverted without notice.
BusLine doesn't guarantee that a bus will arrive at the time shown. Check with the operator before an important journey, and allow extra time.
Ask BusLine answers questions about buses and journeys, and other things you ask it to look up. Its answers are written by an open-source AI model that runs on BusLine's own server, not by a third-party AI company.
AI can get things wrong. Answers can be incomplete, out of date or incorrect, even when they sound sure. Bus times and positions in answers come from the same live data as the rest of BusLine, so they're estimates too. Check anything important, such as fares, opening times or travel rules, with the operator or the sources linked under the answer.
Don't rely on Ask BusLine for emergencies or safety decisions. In an emergency, call 999.
For questions that aren't about buses, BusLine searches the web with its own search service and sums up what it finds, with links to the sources. BusLine isn't responsible for the content of other websites.
Please don't use Ask BusLine to create harmful, abusive or unlawful content, or try to make it misbehave. When it's busy or unavailable, it may give simpler answers or none at all.
Stop announcements and spoken answers use BusLine's own voices, made on our server by an open-source text-to-speech model. Speaking to Ask BusLine uses Apple's speech recognition on your iPhone. How these handle your data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
BusLine uses data from bustimes.org, the Bus Open Data Service under the Open Government Licence, OpenStreetMap contributors and Apple Maps. National Rail times (where shown) come via TransportAPI. These services have their own terms, and BusLine isn't responsible for their content or availability. BusLine isn't affiliated with any bus operator.
Please don't scrape or bulk download data from BusLine, overload or interfere with our servers, try to get around security, or use BusLine for anything unlawful. We may block access to anyone who does.
The BusLine name, logo, design, voices and software belong to BusLine. You can't copy or reuse them without permission. Bus data remains the property of its original providers.
We work hard to keep BusLine running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, pause or remove features at any time.
As far as the law allows, BusLine isn't liable for any loss caused by relying on information in the app or website, such as a missed bus, connection or appointment.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited under UK law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
Our Privacy Policy explains the little information BusLine uses, including what happens to your Ask BusLine questions, and how your chats stay on your device.
If these terms change, we'll update this page and the date at the top, and the iPhone app will show you what's changed. Continuing to use BusLine means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the Scottish courts can hear any dispute about them.
