Midland Bluebird has put temporary emergency timetables on services 51 and 52 because of the A91 Hillfoots Road closure at Blairlogie. If you still use the old stop board times, you will miss buses.
What changed
From Monday 26 October 2026, services 51 (Stirling–Alloa via Tullibody) and 52 (Stirling–Alloa via Alva and Tillicoultry) run on a revised temporary timetable. Service 38 has minor amendments at the same time because 51, 52 and 38 are linked operationally.
The A91 at Blairlogie is closed from Tuesday 20 October until Friday 27 November 2026. Midland Bluebird said the longer diversion and expected congestion needed a full emergency timetable — not just a diversion on the old times.
Where to board in Menstrie
Service 52 continues to serve Menstrie. Join buses on Main Street East and West in both directions. Do not wait at stops that are only on the closed A91 section through Blairlogie.
Between Causewayhead and Menstrie, 52 (with 324 and 326) is diverted via Alloa Road, the B9140, King O Muirs roundabout and Tullibody Road, then Menstrie Main Street before continuing towards Tillicoultry. The reverse applies towards Stirling.
Stops between Logie Kirk and Logie Road — including the Wallace Monument stretch — are not served by 52, 324 and 326 during the closure.
Through journeys to Forth Valley Royal Hospital
While the emergency timetable is in force, the usual through-link from 51 and 52 onto service 38 for Forth Valley Royal Hospital is suspended. You cannot stay on the same bus for that hospital link until normal timetables return.
To reach the hospital: change at Stirling Bus Station, or use direct H1 / H2 services where they fit your trip.
How to check the new times
Printed timetables at bus stops are not being updated for this temporary period. Use:
Departure times on 51 and 52 differ from the normal pattern throughout the day. Always check before you leave home.
Until when
The temporary emergency timetable is expected to last for the rest of the bridge works, currently through Friday 27 November 2026. When the A91 reopens, Midland Bluebird will reinstate the normal timetable and the through-hospital links.
Use BusLine so you see what is due now — not what the old stop plate still says.
